The problem is, I don’t always make time to cook and eat breakfast every day.

You too? That’s kind of what I thought, so today I’m sharing a breakfast recipe that is so quick and easy to whip up, you’ll have no excuse for skipping the most important meal of the day!

Easy Breakfast Skillet Recipe

I partnered up with my friends at Jennie-O to create this gluten free, protein packed, Italian Turkey & Egg Breakfast Skillet Recipe.

With flavorful Jennie-O Breakfast Sausage as the base of the recipe, you know it’s going to be delicious, add fresh veggies, pesto and eggs, and you’ve got yourself one scrumptious start to the day!

Italian Breakfast Skillet Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients

Add the olive oil to a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, saute 4-5 minutes, add the garlic, saute for an additional minute. Add the Jennie-O turkey sausage and cook through, 6-8 minutes.

Turkey Sausage Breakfast Skillet Recipe

Add the diced tomatoes and basil pesto, mix everything together.

Crack the eggs on top.

Cover and cook 6-8 minutes. Remove the lid, sprinkle with cheese and serve.

Italian Turkey & Egg Breakfast Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 lb Jennie-O Mild Turkey Breakfast Sausage
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup basil pesto
  • 6 large eggs
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese (grated)

Instructions

  1. Add the olive oil to a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion, saute 4-5 minutes, add the garlic, saute for an additional minute.
  3. Add the Jennie-O turkey sausage and cook through, 6-8 minutes.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes and basil pesto, mix everything together.
  5. Crack the eggs on top.
  6. Cover and cook 6-8 minutes.
  7. Remove the lid, sprinkle with cheese and serve.
