There’s nothing I love more than “better than take out” asian dishes, such as this Asparagus Beef Stir Fry. It’s not only better, it will probably take less time than driving to pick up the take out and it’s gluten free!
I used YIAH’s Asian Stir Fry Seasoning to add tons of flavor to this quick stir fry recipe.
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 red onion (sliced)
- 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- ¾ lb. asparagus (sliced)
- 1 lb flank steak (sliced into thin strips)
- 1 tbsp YIAH stir fry seasoning
- ⅓ cup hoisin sauce
- ⅓ cup gluten free soy sauce
- 2 tbsp cooking sake or rice wine
- 1 tsp chili oil
- ¼ cup sesame oil
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 8 oz rice noodles
Add 2 tbsp sesame oil to a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once warm, add the red onion and bell pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes then add the garlic and asparagus.
Sprinkle the YIAH stir fry seasoning on the steak, then add to the skillet.
Saute for 3-5 minutes.
In a small bowl whisk the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, cooking sake, chili oil and ¼ cup sesame oil together.
Pour over the stir fry.
Cover and simmer for 7-10 minutes over low heat.
Cook the rice noodles in boiling water 3-4 minutes (or according to package directions).
Place the rice noodles in the bottom of a bowl and top with the stir fry.
Sprinkle the red pepper flakes and sesame seeds over the top and dinner is served!
So much flavor and so easy! I’m totally loving this quick and simple dinner dish!
