San Diego Restaurant Week kicks off this Sunday, September 15th and will go through Friday, September 20th. Grant Grill will be serving a delicious three course dinner each night from 5:30 – 10:00 PM.
Here’s a little preview of what you can expect!
They started dinner off right with a copper pot filled with their mouthwatering homemade focaccia bread.
Next they served up a flavorful shrimp amuse-bouche.
For the first course of the dinner I tried their Peach Gazpacho with mint, greek yogurt and pine nut brittle. This dish had a great combination of textures and fantastic flavor.
For the main course I tried both their Herb Crusted Albacore and Pork Cheeks.
The Herb Crusted Albacore was my favorite dish of the evening. Served with smoked tomato emulsion, cannellini bean puree and autumn squash, this dish was perfection on every level!
The pork cheeks were also scrumptious, served with a succulent tomato jam, polenta, melted leeks and swiss chard (which they actually grow on the roof of the US Grant!)
For dessert, I started off with their Chocolate Mousse served with mint sorbet and vanilla cream.
Then I had to try their flavorful fall dessert which pairs sweet potato with roasted meringue, toasted oat ice cream and salted caramel. Lets just say there was not one bite of this tasty treat left on my plate, it was that good!
If you’re looking for a great new restaurant to try in San Diego, next week is the time to do it and Grant Grill is the place to go! The service is delightful, food is top notch and the wine list is extensive!
