Celery Pear Mint Green Juice

This juice contains celery which is great for weight loss! Celery is reported to be a negative calorie food, which means it takes the body more calories to digest it than the food itself contains.*

The pears in this juice give it a nice sweetness, while also providing more than your daily supply of fiber!  One pear has 6 grams of fiber, this juice contains 6 pears, i.e. 36 grams of fiber from the pears alone! The suggested daily requirement of fiber is 25 to 30 grams.

Obviously I don’t even have to get you started on kale!  We all know that kale is the superfood sweeping the nation packing tons of Vitamins A, C and K with health benefits ranging from reducing the chances of developing cancer to bone health as well as aiding in blood clotting.

The mint in this juice gives it great flavor while also helping to soothe stomach issues, clear your skin and eliminate your body of toxins.

Healthy Green Juice Ingredients


  • 6 pears (sliced and de-seeded)
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 3 cups kale
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint

Juice all of the ingredients together.

Yield: app 12 oz juice

  • 6 pears (sliced and de-seeded)
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 3 cups kale
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint


  1. Juice all of the ingredients together.
  2. Chill and serve.

Berry Citrus Juice Ingredients


  • 5 oranges
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup carrots

Juice all of the ingredients together, chill, then serve.

Orange Pineapple Vitamin Boost Juice

I call this the “Vitamin Boost Juice” because it provides over 450% of the daily Vitamin A needed and over 1000% of daily Vitamin C needed, and just for a little extra boost, it also provides 110% of daily fiber needed!

Talk about getting a vita-boost to your day!

Orange Carrot Pineapple Juice


  • 4 oranges (peeled)
  • 1/2 pineapple (skin removed)
  • 1 cup carrots

Juice all of the ingredients together.

Pour into a glass, chill then soak in all of the juicy vitamins!

Citrus Carrot Juice

This juice is a perfect way to start the day and can be made very inexpensively! Purchase a bag of oranges at a local farmers market to cut down on costs by buying in bulk and keep juicing all week long!

Vitamin C Juice

Serve this juice with our Gluten Free Oatmeal Almond Date Bars for a healthy breakfast meal!

I was beyond excited when I ran into my friend Drew at the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim!  I know Drew as a photographer and fellow Okie, but I totally forgot that he has another business in addition to his photography.  Enter: the Healthy Juicer!

He was at the expo promoting the Healthy Juicer and I started talking with him about giving one away to a lucky fan of the blog.  He not only agreed to give one away, he also gave one to me!  I was so excited when I picked it up last weekend and couldn’t wait to start juicing!

It is so easy to put together, use and clean! I was skeptical at first, but after using it a couple of times this weekend, it’s totally true!

I busted out my fruit, vegetables and juicer, chopped the fruits and veggies, put together the healthy juicer, juiced it up, drank up the deliciousness, then took it apart and cleaned it, all in less than 30 minutes!

There are no messy screens to scrub and the Healthy Juicer even comes with this handy little wrench to help take the juicer apart! They also have this sweet video to show you just how quick the cleanup process is!

How to use the Healthy Juicer

The Healthy Juicer is a masticating juicer, masticating means to ‘chew’ or grind. Other juicers that are centrifugal, use a high RPM  to cut the produce and then slap it against the screen, extracting the juice. During this process there is heat build-up and oxidation which kills nutrients.  The Healthy Juicer uses a high torque motor with a 72 RPM auger to squeeze the juice out of produce with no heat-build up, resulting in a live-enzyme juice and killing no nutrients. Yay for keeping your nutrients!

Another benefit is that a masticating juicer such as the Healthy Juicer can juice wheatgrass and other leafy greens, whereas others simply can’t.  Wheatgrass is entirely too fibrous for a centrifugal juicer to extract juice.  Check out this Healthy Juicer full demo video for even more information on this awesome juicing machine!

Strawberry Cucumber Kale Juice

For my first juicing experience I combined Strawberries, Cucumbers and Kale!


  • 8-10 strawberries
  • 1 cup kale (chopped)
  • 1 cup cucumber (sliced)

Add each ingredient to the Healthy Juicer and watch it go to work producing a delicious, super healthy, nutrient packed beverage!
