Over the years I’ve tried many veggie burgers, from homemade, to restaurants, to pre-packaged at the grocery store, you always get one of two things, a burger filled with veggies or a vegetarian burger that’s masquerading as a meat burger, which tastes more like meat than veggies.

While I’ve had great versions of both, I tend to prefer the veggie-filled burgers. Since I’m not a vegetarian, when I eat veggie burgers I’m not trying to replace a beef or turkey burger, I’m simply looking for a super flavorful and unique way to go meatless and add more veggies to my diet!

Spicy Buffalo Black Bean Dip

Buffalo Black Bean Dip

I’m so excited to share another recipe from my upcoming cookbook “Buffalo Style: Ditch the Wings, Keep the Sauce” with all of you!

Spicy Black Bean Dip Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz.) black beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp. buffalo sauce
  • 2 tsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. chipotle powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeno (deseeded and diced)

Add all of the ingredients to a food processor and blend for 1-2 minutes or until combined well.

Serve with chips or vegetables for dipping.
