Ingredients
¾
cup
butter
softened to room temperature
1
cup
brown sugar
1
egg
1
egg yolk
2
tsp
vanilla extract
2
cups
flour
2
tsp
cornstarch
1
tsp
baking soda
½
tsp
salt
1 ½
cups
candy
if candy bars – chopped
Icing

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Spray a 9 inch round cake pan or pie pan with cooking spray.
Beat the butter with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Add the brown sugar and beat on medium until combined well, mix in the egg, egg yolk and vanilla until combined.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt.
Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients on low speed until combined.
Hand mix in the candy with a spatula.
Press the cookie dough into the prepared pan.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Cover with foil, then continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 20 minutes.
Remove from the cake pan and top with icing, if you’d like.
Once iced and ready to eat, cut into 8 triangular slices for serving.
