Philly Cheesesteak Frito Pie is a fun twist on the southern dish, Frito Chili Pie. Ground beef, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms are cooked together and served over Fritos, topped with a creamy provolone sauce for one easy and epic recipe!
Add the butter to a large skillet on the stove over medium heat.
Once melted, add the bell pepper, onion and mushrooms, cook 4-5 minutes, then and the ground beef, salt and pepper, cook 5-7 minutes or until the beef is cooked through.
In a separate saucepan on the stove over medium heat, add all of the ingredients for the provolone cheese sauce.
Stir continuously until the cheese is melted into a thick sauce.
Divide the Fritos between four plates, top the fritos with the philly cheesesteak ground beef mixture, then spoon the provolone cheese sauce on top.
