1tablespoonhamburger seasoning, click link for the recipe
1teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
4slicescheddar cheese
4hamburger buns
Instructions
Preheat an air fryer to 370°F.
Combine the ground beef, hamburger seasoning and worcestershire sauce in a large bowl.
Form the mixture into 4 burger patties, about ½ inch thick. Use your thumb to press a small indentation in the middle of each patty.
Place the patties with the indentation facing up in a single layer in the air fryer basket, with room around each patty for the air to move. Air fry the burger patties for 5 minutes.
Open the air fryer, flip the burger patties and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
Optional: open the air fryer and top the patties each with a slice of cheese, cook for 1 minute.
Remove the patties from the air fryer, serve on toasted buns with your choice of toppings, like lettuce, tomato and burger sauce.
Notes
If using frozen hamburger patties, add 5 minutes to the total cooking time. You’ll want to cook the burgers for 7 minutes, flip and cook for an additional 6 minutes before adding the cheese.
Using the cooking instructions in this recipe will cook the burgers to medium-well to well done. If you’d like a burger that’s medium, I recommend taking 2 minutes off of the total cook time. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium well, the burgers should reach 150-155°F, for well done, they should reach 160-165°F.
This recipe was made in a 5.8 quart Cosori air fryer and fit four quarter-pound burgers perfectly. If your air fryer is smaller, you might have to cook the burgers in batches.
This recipe is gluten free, when served without the bun, or on a gluten-free bun.
Store leftover cooked burger patties in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat them in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes, with a few drops of water on top of each patty, to prevent them from drying out.
