Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Place in the refrigerator until ready to top the burgers.
Bruschetta Turkey Burgers
In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, balsamic vinegar, crushed garlic, fresh basil, salt and pepper. Form into 4 half-pound burger patties.
Heat a grill to medium-high heat.
Add the turkey burgers to the grill and grill for 6-8 minutes per side.
Three minutes before the turkey burgers are finished grilling, place ¼ cup of mozzarella cheese on each burger. Allow the cheese to melt onto the burgers.
Place the hamburger buns on the grill to lightly toast. Remove the burgers and buns from the grill.
Place the burgers on the buns, top each burger with ½ cup of fresh bruschetta.
Notes
Always make sure the internal temperature of the burger is 160°F before removing it from the grill.
If you don't have a grill, you can cook these burgers on the stove in a cast iron skillet over medium high heat, following the same instructions as if you were making them on the grill.
