Grilled Strawberry Lemonade
Fresh lemons and strawberries are grilled in this delicious recipe twist on strawberry lemonade, perfectly refreshing for summer BBQs!

Instructions
Preheat the grill to medium.
Slice the lemons in half.
Place ½ cup of sugar in a shallow bowl.
Dip each lemon, cut side down in the sugar.
Place on the grill cut side down for 5-6 minutes.
Remove from the grill and set aside to cool.
Remove the stems and hull all of the strawberries, then roll them in the same bowl of sugar as the lemons.
Skewer the strawberries and place on the grill for 5-6 minutes, turning throughout the grilling process.
Remove from the grill and set aside to cool.
In a medium saucepan combine the remaining 1 cup of sugar with 2 cups of water, place on the stove over high heat and bring to a boil.
Cook until all of the sugar has been dissolved creating simple syrup.
Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
Juice all of the lemons into a large bowl.
Once the simple syrup is cooled, place it in a blender with the grilled strawberries.
Blend into a puree.
Add this mixture to the lemon juice with an additional 2 cups of water.
Place in the refrigerator to chill.
Add ice before serving.
