Ingredients
1tablespoonsesame oil
1poundextra lean ground turkey
2clovesgarlic, minced
1cuponion, diced
¼cupsoy sauce, tamari for gluten free
2tablespoonssmooth peanut butter
2tablespoonshoney
2tablespoonsrice wine vinegar
1tablespoonSriracha
2teaspoonsfresh ginger, grated
½teaspoonChinese five spice
8ouncecan whole water chestnuts, drained and diced
2green onions, thinly sliced
½teaspoonkosher salt
½teaspoonground black pepper
1head butter lettuce
Instructions
Add the sesame oil to a large skillet on the stove over medium-high heat.
Add the ground turkey, garlic and onion, cook 5-7 minutes, or until the turkey is cooked through.
Add the soy sauce, peanut butter, honey, rice wine vinegar, sriracha, ginger and Chinese five spice. Stir together and cook 3-4 minutes.
Add the water chestnuts, green onions, salt and pepper, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Remove from the heat and spoon the turkey mixture into leaves of butter lettuce.
