Lemon butter garlic shrimp scampi is easy to make in only 15 minutes! Serve this delicious recipe with pasta, or with zoodles for a healthy, keto meal!

Ingredients
8tablespoonsbutter, divided
5garlic cloves, crushed
¼cupwhite wine
20medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1teaspoonkosher salt
½teaspoonblack pepper
1tablespoonlemon juice
½teaspoonlemon zest
1teaspoonfresh chives, chopped
Instructions
Add 2 tablespoons butter to a small saucepan on the stove over medium heat.
Once melted, add the crushed garlic cloves. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then add the white wine.
Reduce for 5-6 minutes, then add 4 tablespoons butter, whisking all of the ingredients together.
Cook for 2-3 minutes, then turn the heat off, cover the saucepan and set it aside.
Add the remaining 2 tablespoons butter to a large skillet. Once the butter is melted, add the shrimp. Sprinkle with the salt and pepper.
Cook 3-4 minutes, flipping the shrimp half way through.
Add the lemon juice, then add the garlic butter sauce.
Cook for 1-2 minutes, remove from the heat and top with the lemon zest and chives.
Serve over cooked pasta or with your choice of side.
Notes
If serving with pasta, be sure to boil the water before starting the shrimp scampi recipe.
For a low carb option, serve this dish with zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash.
White grape juice can be used as a substitute for white wine sauce. In a pinch, chicken broth can also be used instead of the white wine.
