Heart Shaped Strawberry Cheesecake Puff Pastry Pies
Strawberry cheesecake filling is wrapped up in heart shaped puff pastry dough in this mini strawberry cheesecake pie recipe, perfect for Valentine's Day!

granulated sugar

fresh lemon juice

sheets
puff pastry dough

thawed

egg
1

water
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Combine the cream cheese, confectioners sugar and vanilla extract in a medium mixing bowl.
In a separate small mixing bowl, combine the strawberries, granulated sugar and lemon juice.
Roll out the puff pastry dough on a floured surface.
Use a rolling pin to roll thin.
Cut the puff pastry dough in heart shapes.
Discard the scraps of puff pastry dough between the cut out hearts.
Whisk the egg and water together to make an egg wash.
Brush the edges of each heart with the egg wash. I simply use my finger to do this.
Fill half of the hearts with a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture.
Add the strawberry mixture on top of the cream cheese.
Place the other half of the puff pastry hearts on top.
Use your fingers or a fork to seal the edges shut together.
Place the heart shaped pies on a baking sheet.
Brush the tops with the egg wash.
Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
