Fresh squeezed grapefruit and lime juice are shaken with vodka and served over lime sherbet for a boozy, delicious summer float cocktail recipe!
Eating scoops and scoops of delicious rainbow sherbet was one of my favorite things about hot summer days growing up in Oklahoma!
One of my favorite things about being an adult is happy hour on Fridays! 😉
For this recipe I combined the two and made a boozy sherbet float cocktail!
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
- ¼ cup fresh squeezed lime juice
- 2 oz vodka
- ½ cup ice
- 4 small scoops lime sherbet
- 1 cup ginger ale
Juice the grapefruits and limes into a cocktail shaker.
Add the vodka and ice to the shaker, and shake well.
Place two scoops of sherbet in two separate cups.
Pour half of the grapefruit lime vodka cocktail over the sherbet in one cup, and the other half over the sherbet in the other cup.
Top each glass with ½ cup ginger ale.
Grab a spoon and dig in to sweet, tart, refreshing, boozy sherbet perfection!
If this doesn’t scream summer, I don’t know what does!
Cheers to a lovely weekend that starts right now with boozy sherbet floats!
