Trader Joes Butternut Squash Pasta🧡 Follow for NEW 5 ingredient recipes every Monday!
On Episode 3 of my Trader Joe’s 5 Ingredient Series, I’m excited to share this delicious Butternut Squash Pasta recipe! You only need 5 ingredients to cook up this seasonal staple!
Everything you need to know is down below! ⬇️ Ingredients 5.2 ounce boursin 20 ounces cut butternut squash 1 head garlic (cloves removed) 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 cups dry penne pasta
Instructions🍝 Preheat the oven to 400°F. Remove the boursin from the packaging and place the cheese in the middle of a casserole dish. Surround the cheese with cubed butternut squash and cloves of garlic. Drizzle olive oil over the butternut squash and garlic. Place in the oven and roast for 30-40 minutes (or until the squash is tender). While the squash is roasting, bring a large pot of salted water to boil on the stove and cook the penne pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta cooking water before draining the pasta. Once the squash comes out of the oven, transfer everything from the casserole dish to a blender or food processor. Add ½ cup of the pasta cooking water and puree until smooth. Toss the butternut squash puree with the cooked pasta. If the sauce seems too thick, add ¼ cup more of the pasta cooking water until it reaches your desired consistency.
