When it comes to my cookbook, Buffalo Style, one of the most popular recipes in the book is the recipe for Buffalo Cheddar Biscuits. They have a little spicy kick from the buffalo sauce and they’re totally delicious!
I decided to re-create the popular side dish from the cookbook, but in this version I left out the buffalo sauce and used Premium Gold Gluten-Free Flour to make these delicious cheddar biscuits gluten-free!
They’re super easy to toss together and make a great side for dipping into chili! Try them with one of these delicious chili recipes: Chipotle Stout Chili, White Chicken Chili or Buffalo Chicken Chili.
- 2 cups Premium Gold Gluten Free Flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup milk
- ¾ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- ¼ cup butter (melted)
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
Preheat the oven to 425°.
Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, garlic powder and cheddar cheese together in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk the milk and butter together.
Add to the flour mixture and stir until a dough forms.
Drop by 10 large spoonfuls onto a baking stone.
Bake 12 minutes.
While the biscuits are in the oven whisk the melted butter and garlic powder together for the topping.
Remove biscuits from the oven brush with the topping then place back in the oven for 2-3 minutes.
