Sea Salt Blondies

This delicious recipe for Sea Salt Blondies combines a sweet dessert with a pinch of salt for a scrumptious treat by itself or part of an ice cream sundae!
It’s official y’all, I’m Stagecoach bound, and I’m taking the blondies with me!
That’s right, for the next 4 days I’ll be camping out, grilling burgers, and listening to some of the best country music by Luke Bryan, Sam Hunt, Eric Church and Carrie Underwood!
I’ve wanted to go to Stagecoach for years. (For those that don’t know, it’s the country music version of Coachella, way more up this Oklahoma girls alley!) I’ve never had the opportunity to go until this year. Kurt and his friends have been camping out and attending the country music festival for 3 years, so I hopped on board. Of course, they immediately put me in charge of the food!
My mind went crazy, all the fancy breakfasts, desserts, gourmet burgers and elaborate sides I would make…. then reality struck in. I realized that I had three days between my recent trip back to Oklahoma and leaving for Stagecoach to get work done and prepare everything for the trip.
I had to get practical and pick my favorite “must make” items and buy everything else at the store. I guess homemade hummus wasn’t totally necessary! 😉
I insisted on making homemade burger patties, because this beef-loving, Oklahoma girl, could not bare the thought of buying packaged frozen burger patties. I just can’t do it!
I also made Buffalo Pasta Salad, 4 lbs of pasta salad to be exact, because everyone loves a big bowl of spicy, saucy carbs!
I then made Blueberry Oat Bars for breakfast and these delicious Sea Salt Blondies for dessert!
The inspiration for these blondies came from a recent brunch at Herringbone restaurant in La Jolla, where we completed an endless rosé brunch with a Sea Salt Blondie Sundae (because Sunday Funday!) and O-M-G, it definitely ranked as one of the best desserts I’ve ever had!
I quickly put a note in my phone that went something like this “MAKE SEA SALT BLONDIES IMMEDIATELY!”
As I was planning the Stagecoach camping menu, I thought this would be the perfect time to whip up some Sea Salt Blondies and share them with my friends for dessert!
Most of the blondies made it in the Stagecoach camping bag, but of course I had to dig into a couple yesterday “Sundae Style” like the original recipe inspiration!

Made these last night with a few modifications. Used only about a cup of brown sugar (that’s all I had), browned the butter, and topped with only a half teaspoon sea salt. They are fabulous!! Thanks for the recipe 🙂
Way to make it work Shelly! 🙂 So glad you enjoyed them!
I’m *totally* making these this weekend! I have a party to attend for which I’m supposed to bring brownies. Now I have the perfect ones to make! 🙂
Yay!! I hope everyone at the party loved them! 🙂
