Yes, that is actually how this recipe came to be. My friend Jonny sent me a picture of a tortilla wrapped cheeseburger he ordered at a restaurant and I was instantly obsessed!

My second thought was, must make this for the blog immediately!

I used big burrito flour tortillas to wrap up a spicy jalapeño cheeseburger for my version of this awesome new dish!

Tortilla Wrapped Jalapeño Cheeseburger Ingredients

Tortilla Wrapped Jalapeno Cheeseburger Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jalapeño (minced)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup pepper jack cheese (shredded)
  • ½ cup nacho sliced jalapeños
  • 2 burrito flour tortillas

Tortilla Wrapped Jalapeno Cheeseburger Instructions

Combine the ground beef, jalapeños, chili powder, cumin, salt & pepper in a large bowl.

Mix everything together, then form into two ½ lb. burger patties.

Pre-heat the grill to medium, then place the burgers on the grill.

Grill for 5-6 minutes, then flip and grill for an additional 5-6 minutes.

Remove the burgers from the grill (but keep the grill on) and place each burger patty in the middle of a tortilla.

Top each burger with ½ cup of pepper jack cheese and ¼ cup of sliced nacho jalapeños.

Wrap the burger by first folding two sides over the middle of the burger, like so ↓

Then fold the other two sides over the burger, like so ↓

Secure the tortilla on the top of the burger with a toothpick.

Repeat on the second burger, then place them back on the grill.

Grill for 2-3 minutes per side.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  1. Combine the ground beef, minced jalapeños, chili powder, cumin, salt & pepper in a large bowl.

  2. Mix everything together, then form into two ½ lb. burger patties.
  3. Pre-heat the grill to medium, then place the burgers on the grill.
  4. Grill for 5-6 minutes, then flip and grill for an additional 5-6 minutes.
