Sweet and sour pork tenderloin is slow cooked with fresh peppers & pineapple for a deliciously easy, gluten free dinner recipe!

Slow Cooked Sweet and Sour Pork Tenderloin

Last week I was in Oklahoma visiting my family and decided to make my Slow Cooked Chipotle Honey Pulled Pork Tenderloin Tacos.

I knew this was an easy recipe that I could put in the crock pot in the morning and the family could eat for dinner that evening.

Sweet and Sour Pork Tenderloin

After making it I was reminded of just how gosh darn good it is! That was when I decided that I needed to add another slow cooked pork tenderloin recipe to the blog.

Sweet and Sour Pulled Pork

I am totally addicted to using pork tenderloin as my choice cut of pork for slow cooking.

It’s as lean as a boneless, skinless chicken breast and the most tender cut of pork, making it both a healthy and delicious option for the slow cooker!

Slow Cooked Sweet and Sour Pork

Since my version of PF Chang’s Sweet and Sour Chicken recipe has been so popular, I decided it was about time I made a Sweet and Sour pork recipe!

Sweet and Sour Sauce Recipe

Crock Pot Sweet and Sour Pork Recipe

Set the slow cooker on low and cook for 6-8 hours.

Remove the pork tenderloin from the crock pot and use two forks to shred.

Don’t worry, this part is really easy, the pork basically just falls apart after slow cooking all day!

Shredded Sweet and Sour Pork Tenderloin

Place the pork back in the slow cooker with the sauce, peppers and pineapple.

Now it’s time to decide how you want to serve the pork. I tried it three ways and loved all three, so it just depends what you’re looking for!

  1. Place it inside warm pita bread for a pulled pork pita.
  2. Place it in lettuce leaves for a low calorie, low carb, gluten free option.
  3. Serve it over a bowl of rice, also a great gluten free option.

Sweet and Sour Pulled Pork with Pineapple

No matter how you decide to serve it, this pulled pork recipe is so delicious!

Gluten Free Sweet and Sour Pork Recipe

Another great slow cooker recipe that takes 15 minutes to throw together in the morning and makes for one delicious dinner at night!
