Thank you to Vons for sponsoring this post!
On a day to day basis, there’s a good chance you’ll find me in one of two places, in the kitchen or at the grocery store. Fitting, since I’m a food blogger and all! 😉
Sometimes I go to the grocery store and get straight to business, I could pretty much navigate my local Vons with my eyes closed and get everything I need. I always joke that if Supermarket Sweep were still a show, I’d win every time!
Other times, I just peruse the aisles of Vons looking for new recipe inspiration. That’s why I’m so excited to announce that I’ve partnered up with Vons to do just that!
Whether you’re looking for everyday delicious or elevated gourmet, in these two recipes for lasagna bolognese, one is made in 30 minutes for weeknight dinners, while the other is a slow cooked traditional lasagna bolognese, perfect for weekend celebrations!

These berry cream fillo baskets are the perfect bite-sized patriotic dessert for a summer cook-out! I’m a fan of the popular “flag cake”, but after a huge plate of BBQ I thought something small and light would be better!
Whether it’s Memorial Day Weekend or 4th of July, you can whip these sweet little desserts up in no time!
Red Wine Sangria is given a delicious twist in this refreshing cocktail recipe that features cinnamon sugar grilled peaches, apples, oranges and lemons!
Memorial Day is right around the corner, and what better time to bust out the grill and grill up a juicy, delicious cocktail! Wait, what, grilling a cocktail, are you crazy?!
Why, yes, yes I am kind of crazy, but we’re not actually grilling the sangria here, we’re grilling the fruit that goes in the sangria!
Two years ago, I created this Grilled Strawberry Lemonade and it was such a hit on the “Grill Your Whole Meal” segment I hosted on San Diego 6 News, that I couldn’t wait to find more drinks to grill up!
Jerk chicken kabobs with pineapple and bell peppers, the perfect gluten free recipe to toss on the grill and serve with honey lime sauce!
There’s nothing I love more than firing up the grill for dinner on warm summer nights and weekend BBQ’s!
This weekend we put our first offer in on a house (eeeeek!) It’s so exciting and terrifying at the same time. This house needs A LOT of work, so I’ve been putting some serious spreadsheet skills to use creating a list of all the work that needs to be done, a timeline for the renovation and budgeting.
Even though it seems totally unnecessary, one of the things at the top of my list is an outdoor patio addition. I love entertaining, especially outdoors in San Diego, so this is really important to me!
After living in an apartment for almost a year without having a space to entertain outside (or really inside for that matter!) I can’t wait to get in the new house (fingers crossed!) and fire up the grill for that first outdoor BBQ!
Salted Caramel Cinnamon Rolls are sweet, decadent and delicious, they’re made with canned crescent roll dough for a quick and easy breakfast or brunch recipe!
Mother’s Day is coming up in just 3 days! Have y’all been shopping yet? Go get your Momma something nice, you know, because she brought you into this world and all! 😉
I’m so excited because my Mom will be flying into San Diego tomorrow from Oklahoma for a quick one night stop on her way to Hawaii (lucky duck!) so while I won’t see her on Mother’s Day, at least we’ll get to have an early Mother’s Day celebration while she’s in town! And you better believe I’m making her these Salted Caramel Cinnamon Rolls!
You’re going to love these fajita meatball sliders on Hawaiian rolls with pepper jack cheese & creamy guacamole! They’re easy to make in under an hour!

The Onion Fried Burger is a popular Oklahoma recipe combining half ground beef and half grilled onions for a deliciously flavorful burger recipe!
If you’ve never been to Oklahoma, you probably haven’t had an Onion Fried Burger. This delicious burger came about during the Great Depression when ground beef was expensive and onions were cheap. A burger joint in El Reno, Oklahoma created this burger, originally called “The Depression Burger”.
What was originally created as a means to survive the great depression, turned into one of my favorite burgers of all time!
