Macadamia Nut Crispy French Toast Sticks are a fun & delicious breakfast recipe, that’s also so easy to make!
Thank you to King’s Hawaiian for sponsoring this post!
Easter is right around the corner, and I don’t know about y’all, but Easter Brunch is one of my favorite times of the year to get together with friends and family and enjoy delicious food! It’s kind of like the “Thanksgiving of Spring”, but instead of turkey, we have ham and instead of mashed potatoes, we have crispy french toast sticks! 😉
French toast has always been one of my go-to favorite brunch recipes, and making french toast into french toast sticks, just makes them more fun and dunk-able!
This Easter, my friends at King’s Hawaiian have put together this awesome Easter Morning Combo Box, featuring two loaves of King’s Hawaiian Sweet Sliced Bread, one jar of Macadamia Nut Blossom Honey, a bag of 100% Moloka’i Royal Whole Bean Coffee and an orange hula tote bag.
This combo of goodies is perfect for whipping up these Macadamia Nut Crispy French Toast Sticks on Easter morning, with a cup of delicious Hawaiian coffee on the side!
Instead of syrup, I drizzled these crispy french toast sticks with Macadamia Nut Blossom Honey. Sweet, delicious and a little taste of the Island to start the morning!
- 1 cup milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbsp Macadamia Nut Blossom Honey + more for dipping
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 cups corn flakes (crushed)
- 1 cup macadamia nuts (finely chopped)
- 8 slices King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Sliced Bread (sliced into 1 inch sticks)
- 2 tbsp butter
Whisk the milk, eggs, 1 tbsp Macadamia Nut Blossom Honey and cinnamon together in a shallow bowl.
Combine the crushed corn flakes and chopped macadamia nuts in another shallow bowl.
Dip the King’s Hawaiian bread “sticks” in the egg mixture, then roll in the corn flakes and macadamia nuts.
Once all of the french toast sticks are prepared. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the french toast sticks and cook for 2-3 minutes per side.
Drizzle with the Macadamia Nut Blossom Honey, or serve on the side for dipping.
This perfectly crispy, sweet and delicious breakfast recipe is perfect for Easter brunch or anytime of the year!
