Get a boost of antioxidants, fiber and Omega-3s in this vegan Acai Blackberry Smoothie recipe. Easy to whip up for breakfast in only 5 minutes!
I’ve been a huge fan of adding blackberries to new recipes lately. And by lately I mean just yesterday I posted a recipe for Blackberry Jalapeno Pulled Pork Tacos (Yes, YUM!)
I’ve also added blackberries to these recipes for Blackberry Jalapeno Guacamole and Blackberry Serrano Cornbread!
For this recipe, I combined blackberries with acai to create a smoothie packed with antioxidants!
Did you know that blackberries have more antioxidants than blueberries? Well, if you didn’t, now you do!
In addition to acai, I also added flaxseed to the smoothie. Both of these ingredients add a great boost of fiber and Omega-3s to the recipe!
What You’ll Need
- ½ cup frozen blackberries
- 3.5 oz frozen acai
- 1 banana
- ¾ cup almond milk
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp flax seed
How To Make It
Add all of the ingredients to a blender.
Blend until smooth.
This recipe makes one 16 oz smoothie.
It’s creamy, berry deliciousness in the form of a healthy, antioxidant-filled smoothie! It’s also vegan and gluten free!
