Today is Opening Day at Petco Park and the beginning of baseball season in San Diego!

To help kick off the Padres season, I joined my friends at San Diego 6 News this morning for a segment on “Hot Dog Toppings To Pair With Your Favorite Cocktails”.

That’s right, beer isn’t the only adult beverage that can be enjoyed with hot dogs, and I’m here to prove it! 😉

I paired this Grilled Pineapple Moscow Mule with a Grilled Pineapple Teriyaki Hot Dog, totally unique & totally delicious, the perfect way to enjoy a hot dog on opening day at home!

Grilled Pineapple Moscow Mule Ingredients

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup fresh pineapple (grilled & diced)
  • 8 oz pineapple vodka
  • 24 oz ginger beer
  • 2 limes

Add a few pieces of fresh grilled pineapple to four copper mugs or cocktail glasses.

Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to muddle the grilled pineapple.

Add 2 oz vodka and 6 oz ginger beer to each mug. Squeeze half of a lime into each mug, then fill with ice, stir and serve.
