Sirloin steak & golden potatoes are marinated in a balsamic herb marinade, skewered & grilled to perfection in this recipe for Rosemary Steak Skewers!
This recipe is for all of my “meat and potatoes” people out there! Calling all my Oklahoma friends and family, I know you’re going to love this one!
My idea for this dish originally came from an idea I had to make “Steak Frites Skewers” basically combining the delicious dish onto one skewer and tossing in some delicious herbs for flavor!
The result was exactly what I wanted, flavorful juicy steak paired perfectly with marinated baby potatoes!
Rosemary Steak Skewers Ingredients
- 2 cups golden potatoes
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary
- ½ cup balsamic vinegar
- ½ cup olive oil
- 2 tsp steak seasoning
- 3 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 2 lbs sirloin (cut into cubes)
Rosemary Steak Skewers Instructions
Add the potatoes to a large pot of boiling water and boil for 15 minutes (or until barely fork tender).
In a small bowl combine the thyme, rosemary, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, steak seasoning and garlic.
Pour 3/4 cup of the marinade over the steak and place in the refrigerator.
Once the potatoes are boiled, drain them and place in a small bowl. Pour the remaining marinade over the potatoes and toss.
Remove the steak from the refrigerator after 15 minutes and skewer the steak and potatoes.
Place on a grill over medium heat for 6-8 minutes, rotating throughout the grilling process.
Remove from the grill and dig in!
This is a simple meal that can be made in 30 minutes or less, but is sure to impress at dinner time or your next BBQ!

Hi!
I’m excited to try this recipe tomorrow! Would it hurt the meat if I let it marinate overnight? Should I let the meat and potatoes come closer to room temp before I grill? Also, I just realized I bought slightly bigger potatoes. Will they grill okay if they are cut into halved or quarters? I’m a first time griller 🙂
Hi Lyndsay, it definitely wouldn’t hurt to let it marinate overnight. You can let the meat and potatoes come close to room temp, but you don’t have to if there’s not time. You can leave the potatoes whole, but just make sure you boil them until they’re fork tender. Enjoy!!
This looks so delicious . Your photography is stunning 🙂 I found you by accident on Youtube .
Thanks so much Peter! Glad you stumbled across Little Leopard Book!
This looks SO good. I’ll definitely have to try making it this weekend.
