Hello juicy flavorful beef, layered with creamy horseradish and melty cheese! Let’s toss you in the middle of some crispy rosemary focaccia bread and dip you in some warm au jus! You down? I thought so!!
Seriously this sandwich beats out all of the other sandwiches. And it’s super easy to make! The slow cooked tri tip starts off the sandwich party.
Simply toss a tri tip in the crock pot with fresh rosemary, garlic, onion, salt and pepper. Pour in some beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then let it do it’s thing!
Once the tri tip has cooked all day in the crock pot, (and made your house smell amazing!) shred the beef apart. Place the beef on a rosemary focaccia roll, then top with horseradish cheddar cheese or swiss cheese and some creamy horseradish.
Dip out some of the delicious broth, or as the french call it “Au Jus”, from the crock pot to serve on the side for dipping. And just like that, you have created the best sandwich ever!

I combined the egg and avocado into a deliciously fresh avocado egg salad. I then put that right on top of the toast! So easy, so light and so flavorful!
If you love egg salad, you’re really going to love this version with avocado! I like to make a big batch of the salad on Sunday or Monday. I put it on toast for breakfast or lunch throughout the week. It’s easy to make ahead of time and great for meal prepping!
Everything bagel seasoning and an extra drizzle of lemon juice on top really takes this egg salad toast over the top! I like to pick up a bottle of Everything Bagel Seasoning at Trader Joe’s.
If you don’t have a TJ’s near, you can easily mix up the seasoning at home. Two Peas and Their Pod has a great Everything Bagel Seasoning recipe that’s easy to make in 5 minutes! You can also add a little sea salt and pepper on top if you don’t have everything bagel seasoning.
Fresh California avocados + fresh herbs + fresh lemon juice = an egg salad recipe that’s bursting with flavor and filled with healthy ingredients!
Chicken breasts are tossed in a basil pesto marinade, then grilled to perfection and topped with grilled tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese in this easy, healthy & totally delicious grilled chicken sandwich recipe!
The marinade for this recipe is basil pesto. It’s easy to make my homemade version or just pick up a jar at the store. If you’re buying store-bought, I highly recommend looking in the refrigerator near the deli section of the grocery store.
You can usually find fresh, refrigerated pesto in this section that’s much better than the stuff in jars near the pasta sauce. Some grocery stores even make their own pesto fresh daily!
After tossing the chicken in the pesto, simply grill it up, then top it with grilled tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese. Place it on a bun with more pesto and fresh basil leaves and you’ve got a seriously delicious grilled chicken sandwich in just about 30 minutes!

This ham and cheese sandwich recipe is given a sweet twist with apricot preserves and sweet Hawaiian sliced bread, perfect for an easy lunch!
With school back in session for most of my friends with kids, it’s that time of the year when parents are thinking about what to pack in their kids lunch box.
Since I’m all about putting a delicious twist on traditional recipes, I took a lunchbox favorite, the ham and cheese sandwich, and gave it a sweet twist with apricot preserves and Hawaiian Sweet Bread!
The classic bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich is given a delicious twist with the addition of flavorful pesto in this tasty breakfast recipe.
My mornings usually go a little something like this, open the fridge, figure out what’s in the fridge that I can toss in with my eggs, then prepare some kind of scramble, breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito.
On one fateful morning, I saw basil pesto sitting in the fridge and decided to dollop it on top of my morning scramble, from then on, I was hooked!
Pesto + eggs = one of the most delicious combos ever!
Over the past week I’ve become completely obsessed with Roasted Bell Pepper and Chipotle Spread! Everything from putting it in wraps to spreading it on bagels to simply tossing it on a plain tortilla and digging in!
With the overwhelming popularity of my Chipotle Lime Chicken Skewers, I felt like a Chipotle Chicken Sandwich with the delicious chipotle spread would be a perfect match!
2 limes (juiced)
1 tbsp jalapeño liquid
1 tsp crushed garlic
1 tsp chipotle powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)
3 slices cooked bacon
2 hamburger buns
2 tbsp Roasted Red Bell Pepper and Chipotle Spread
1/2 cup iceberg lettuce
1 small tomato (sliced)
1/4 cup deli sliced jalapeños
Whisk the lime juice, liquid from the jar of jalapeños, crushed garlic, chipotle powder and cumin together in a small bowl.
Pour the marinade over the chicken breasts.
Coat the chicken well, then place in the refrigerator to marinate for 15 minutes.
Turn the grill on to medium and place the chicken on the grill for 10 minutes per side.
The last 3-4 minutes of grill time, add the hamburger buns to the grill to toast.
Remove the chicken and buns from the grill. Spread 1/2 tbsp of the Red Pepper Chipotle Spread on each bun.
Next, top the bottom buns with the lettuce and tomato.
Add a piece of chicken (whole or sliced, your preference!) on top of the tomatoes, then place one and a half slices of bacon on to the chicken.
On the top bun, add the jalapeños.
Place the top bun on the sandwich and dig in!
Tons of flavor in this sandwich, great crunch from the bacon and a slight heat from the chipotle chicken and spread! Overall, a winning combination!
Turn heat on the grill to medium or preheat the oven to 400°F.
Clean out the inside of the mushrooms with a spoon. During this process, try not to break the sides of the mushroom. (You want to be sure and keep all those delicious goodies inside the sandwich during the grilling process!)
Place 1 tbsp of pesto and 1/2 tsp of crushed garlic onto each mushroom.
Top each portobello with a large slice of mozzarella.
Top one of the mushrooms with the sliced tomatoes.
Then add the basil.
On the other mushroom, top with the peperoncini’s.
Then the roasted bell peppers.
Carefully put the two sides together.
Spray the grill with cooking spray then place the sandwich onto the grill for 20 minutes, flipping carefully half way through.
If a grill is not available, you can also place the sandwich into the oven on a rimmed baking sheet for 20 minutes or until the mozzarella is melted.
Remove from the grill and dig in!
So much melty goodness and flavor in every bite!
The portobello mushroom is so meaty, making it the perfect exterior for this vegetarian sandwich!
After discovering Boston Magazine’s article on the amazing Grillo’s Pickles, I went on past the article I originally attended to read on the best burgers in Boston and continued on to the best fries in Boston.
Just 2 blocks down from Grillo’s was one of Boston’s best french fry spots. This spot was the All Star Sandwich Bar where they’re serving up delicious fried potatoes known as Hell Fries.
These cayenne pepper, cilantro and hot sauce topped fries live up to their hellish name. Order an extra ice-cold beverage on the side, you’re gonna need it!
Although I am a glutton for delicious, spicy potatoes, I knew I shouldn’t lunch on them alone. I decided to take a peak over at the sandwich menu, I mean the name of the spot is All Star Sandwich Bar, they must make some pretty killer sandwiches. And do they ever.
I wanted to try one of each! Fried Poblano Cheeseburger, BBQ Fried Chicken Bacon Melt, American Fondue Cheeseburger, how would I pick just one?
Upon the recommendation from my excellent server Brad and my crazy obsessive love for Buffalo sauce I went with the Funky Daily Special Buffalo Cheesesteak BLT. Say what? A sandwich with multiple meats, blue cheese and buffalo sauce, I’m so in!
I really can not express the excitement and anticipation that overcame me when this sandwich arrived!
And the anticipation was met with overwhelming joy after just one bite. Crispy bacon, juicy burger, creamy blue cheese and spicy buffalo sauce, quite the perfect combination and balance of amazingness!
They have tons of daily specials that I wish I had more time in Boston to try each one!
