Whether it’s an easy weeknight dinner, game day or an outdoor BBQ, your friends and family are going to love these scrumptious grilled turkey meatballs covered in blue cheese and buffalo sauce.

I’m going to be honest, I’ve eaten these sandwiches for lunch the last three days and there are no more left. Yes, I ate two sandwiches every day for the last three days… they’re that good!

Throw in a side of Buffalo Potato Salad or Spicy Buffalo Macaroni Salad and you have one seriously saucy meal!

Ingredients

  • Ground turkey
  • Celery
  • Carrots
  • Garlic – you can use fresh minced garlic or dried minced garlic.
  • Chili powder
  • Paprika
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Egg
  • Buffalo sauce
  • Hot dog buns – or sub rolls
  • Blue cheese dressing – or ranch dressing if you’re not a fan of blue cheese.

Step by step instructions

Mix ground turkey and veggies together. Combine ground turkey, celery, carrots and garlic in a large bowl.

Season it. Add chili powder, paprika, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg and ¼ cup buffalo sauce.

Roll out the meatballs. Form into 12 equal sized meatballs.

Cook the meatballs. Grill for 8-10 minutes, flip, then grill for an additional 8-10 minutes.

About 3 minutes before removing the meatballs from the grill, place the hot dog buns on the grill to lightly toast.

Start to assemble the sandwiches. Remove the buns and meatballs from the grill and place 2 meatballs on each bun.

Make ’em saucy. Drizzle each sub sandwich with the additional buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing.
